Pit Bull Terrier - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog - Isabeau

Isabeau has had a very sad life of neglect and abuse. This sweet baby watched her mate drink antifreeze (apparently intentionally made available to the dogs in a bucket). She watched him die and be buried. But Isabeau was too smart for that - she wanted to SURVIVE! She was left to starve and die but she held on long enough to be rescued. Today she is quite healthy and has regained weight. Hard to imagine that you could see every rib when she first was found. Despite the harsh treatment she received, she is finally walking proudly and learning to hug and play and kiss. Isabeau is still a little shy and skittish but is becoming more confident every day. She is uncomfortable around men although that may change as she adjusts to a new secure life. She definitely needs someone who has the time to help her emotionally recover from all the bad things that have happened to her. If you have a big heart and really want to help a dog that deserves a better life, please consider adding Isabeau to your family.
