Phoenix has truly risen from the ashes! This poor, sweet dog was found pregnant, with a horrible skin infection and heartworms wandering the streets of Springfield in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. She was very timid, but after some tender loving care from her foster mom, she is now heartworm and skin problem free and loving life. She is an EXTREMELY GENTLE dog who truly appreciates being loved. Phoenix is great for a calm environment with people who can give her lots of love. She does love to be around other dogs though! She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots. Breed Note: Most of the dogs rescued from the streets of Historic Springfield are mixes of an unknown origin. In these cases, the breed listed is the one that best matches their looks and personality. We make every attempt to identify the breed correctly with input from our veterinarian.
