Before & After pictures.... The local small-town grocery store seems to be the place of choice for many of the drop-off dogs in this South Georgia town. Pup-Pup, as she came to be called, had the usual look starved and mangy -- something no person in that town wants to see, let alone touch and help out. If she hadnt come right up to me and been so friendly, I probably would have gone into that grocery store, gotten the grapes that were on sale, and headed back home into Florida. But she wouldnt let me ignore her. I didnt know what I was going to do with her I had my hands full with seven rescue dogs that already had my last name. I knew from experience that her skin condition would take many long months to heal. That was December, 2008 -- fast forward to June, 2009. Pup-Pup has hair now its short and white with a bit of tan. Shes a real clown who loves to run and then jump as high in the air as she can, fly for several feet, and then pounce on whatever prey shes imagined is below. The consummate actress plays her serious roles with piercing black eyes that study you with intensity. Up close and personal is how she likes to be with humans or other dog friends she knows no stranger. Just over a year old now, shes still got a lot of puppy to grow out of, but is well on her way to learning how to be a lady. A happy, healthy one at that. This is a very special adoption due to Pup's long road to recovery... The foster Mom to this sweet girl will be screening applications for adoption... The adoption fee includes HW testing, spay/neuter, current on shots, including Rabies, current worming, current flea treatment, current on heartworm preventative, microchip.
