This is a large 75 pound Mechanical Man display baby in bassenette. This is electrical, plugs in and is in perfect working order. From the 1930s she was displayed in a bank window. People came from many miles to view it back then (as there were not alot of moving mechanical objects in that day).
In good condition, still working fine (legs kick arms and head move), small peeling on legs from age and maybe some repaint to bassentte. She has a chalk board on the front where Bank would write specials and other important information.
(I used to have more information (provedance) about it will try to find that).
(old paper fan comes with her of child in bathing suit - can be wired to her hand)
she has a small hole in one hand where advertiser who rented her would wire thier product. Soap and lotions, dolls or toys etc. The product would of course move as she moved her arms.
These treasured display dolls were very expensive back in that time, few companies owned them most had to rent them for a period, There are a few survivors today though they are well made by the Mechanical Man Company circa 1928-40
I had put this on layaway for 3000.00 took me 2 years to pay it off.
